SUMMER BIANNUAL BIBLIOTHON 2017 [JULY 23RD- JULY 29TH] Reading Challenges:
1. Group Book Challenge: Flame in the Mist by Renee Adieh

I won’t be reading this because  I don’t own it, and there’s about 10 people waiting for each copy at the library and I’m #10 in the list, so it’s not happening.

2. Read from the host’s favorite genre:
Kassie – Magical Realism:
Caz – Historical Fiction
Brittni – High/Epic Fantasy: I’m going with The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater
Emma – Diverse Books
Kelly – Dystopian/SciFi
Red – Paranormal
Momo – Urban fantasy
3. Read a book that has been or still is banned: Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling. I heard it has been banned in some places. I read almost half of this book last year, and never finished, so hopefully it will happen this year!
4. Throwback challenge: I’ll go with the challenge (Finish a series you’ve started already). I’m going to read Winter by Marissa Meyer (It’s about time!!!).
5. Book to movie adaptation – read & watch (@booksbydano): I’ll be reading The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
6. Read a book you’ve seen somewhere other than booktube (@pucksandpaperbacks): I’m going to go with Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling again because I see this series everywhere. I don’t remember when did I first heard about it, but I know I knew it even before booktube.
7. LGBTQIA+ (@daily_booknerd): I heard there’s LGBTQIA+ in The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater(according to Goodreads), so I’ll go with that. I still need to read the Raven Boys before the readathon starts! woo.

BOOKTUBEATHON 2017 [JULY 24TH- JULY 30TH] Reading Challenges:
1. Read a book with a person on the cover: Winter by Marissa Meyer, since there is a hand holding an apple on the cover. That counts right, right?
2. Read a hyped book: I swear I hear about The Raven Boys series everywhere on booktube. I’m probably one of the few biblioaddicts who haven’t read it yet. Depending on if I finish the second book of the series, I’ll read the third.
3. Finish a book in one day: I’m choosing a contemporary romance for this one and that is Alex, Approximately by Jenn Bennett.
4. Read about a character that is very different from you: Tampa by Alissa Nutting. The premise of this book got me intrigued, but other than that, I don’t know much about it. All I know is that the main character is older than me and likes younger guys???
5. Finish a book completely outdoors: I don’t read outside, so I’m choosing a novella for this one -> The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
6. Read a book you bought because of the cover: Other than the fact that I wanted to motivate myself to read this series, I also bought this specific edition because they are so pretty and that is Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling (Bloomsbury edition).
7. Read seven books:  Choices:

  • The last two books of the Raven boys series
  • The third book of the Harry Potter series
  • A Christina Lauren Book
